Kidney & Dialysis Care

Kidney care at home, between dialysis sessions and doctor visits.

For families managing chronic kidney disease or dialysis at home. A senior Diagnex nurse keeps fluid, weight and BP in check, watches the dialysis access site, and keeps the nephrologist informed.

A nurse records an older man’s blood pressure at home, with a monitoring log and appointment calendar nearby.

Does this sound familiar?

  • It's hard to know how much water is too much.
  • Weight climbs between sessions and nobody notices until dialysis day.
  • The fistula or catheter site worries you every time you look at it.
  • Diet advice came once, quickly, and nobody has explained it since.

At each visit

What our nurse does, every time.

Kidney care is delivered by senior nurses. A standard visit runs about 75 minutes, and visits are usually planned around dialysis days.

Weight, BP and swelling

Checked and logged, with sudden changes flagged against the nephrologist's limits.

Fluid balance

Intake tracked against the daily allowance, and explained to whoever manages the kitchen.

Diet, as advised

Salt, potassium and protein restrictions followed as the doctor has set them.

Access site care

The fistula or catheter checked for redness, swelling or anything that needs the doctor's attention.

Tests and dialysis days

Blood tests taken at home, and dialysis days and transport planned around the week.

Medicines

Binders, blood-pressure medicines and injections given exactly as prescribed, and tracked.

Working with your doctor

Your nephrologist sets the limits. We hold the line at home.

Dry weight, fluid allowance and diet restrictions come from your nephrologist. Our job is to make them real between appointments, and to make sure the doctor sees the trend rather than a single reading on the day.

How care unfolds

Dialysis is part of Diagnex too.

An illustrative example, not a real patient.

Same organisation

If dialysis is needed, Diagnex provides hemodialysis at home and at clinics, under nephrologist-set parameters. Care continues instead of starting again somewhere new.

Same records

Weights, BPs and test results the Elder Care nurse has been recording go with the patient rather than being re-collected.

Same escalation

If things become serious, Diagnex Home ICU Setup is part of the same network — a decision made faster because nobody is starting from scratch.

Plans and prices

Kidney and Dialysis Care is added to the visit plan that suits your situation.

Alternate-day visits suit most dialysis schedules — one visit before the session and one after, so weight and fluid are tracked either side. Delivered by senior nurses with a Care Supervisor overseeing the plan.

Kidney care, alternate days

About 15 visits a month with a senior nurse, planned around dialysis days, with a WhatsApp update after every visit. Daily visits are priced on assessment.

Caring for someone younger?

Chronic kidney disease and dialysis are not old-age conditions. A large share of dialysis patients in India are in their thirties, forties and fifties, often working and often managing this around a job.

The care plan is built on the nephrologist's prescription, not on age. If you're arranging this for a husband, wife or sibling, the free call works exactly the same way.

Your questions

What families ask us first.

Does the Elder Care nurse do the dialysis?

No. Dialysis is delivered by Diagnex's dialysis-trained team with the right equipment. Your Elder Care nurse looks after everything around it — weight, fluid, BP, diet, access site and medicines.

Can you work with our existing nephrologist?

Yes. We share readings and notes with them in whatever format they prefer, and we don't ask you to change doctors.

Can blood tests be done at home?

Yes, through Diagnex Diagnostics. Creatinine, potassium and the rest are collected at home and the report reaches the same nurse who takes the readings.

What if the weight gain between sessions is too high?

The nurse follows the thresholds your nephrologist has set, informs the doctor and the family, and helps you act before dialysis day rather than after.

We're considering dialysis at home. Can you help us decide?

We can explain how it works and what a home setup needs. The decision itself belongs to your nephrologist, and we'll help you put the question to them properly.
